C.A.S.I.M.I.R. Disputes—

Computer Aided Simulations Investigating Multiple Influences to Resolve Disputes.

Fifth Labs is at the forefront of future technology for private, commercial, and space exploration applications with this project. The phenomenon known as the Casimir effect has been studied for years, yet the actual cause of the effect is still under debate. This project intends to resolve the disputes concerning this physical law and in the process will open up opportunities for various applications that exploit the Casimir effect. While there is no set deadline for completion, the tentative deadline is January 10, 2017. For further reading on the Casimir effect, please refeer to Wikipedia's page on the Casimir Effect.

Our Project Goals

Primary Goals

  • Take our current theories about the Casimir Effect and construct Mathematical representations for the effect.
  • Use these equations to simulate the effect through a computer program.

Secondary Goals

  • Use both the computer program and Laboratory tests to manipulate this effect.
  • Develop useful appications for the manipulation of the Casimir Effect.
